Your travel insurance should always provide sufficient levels of cover for emergency medical treatment, as well as medical evacuation by air ambulance and repatriation.  Check that all your planned activities are covered.  

Don’t forget to take precautions to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes.  Pack plenty of sunscreen, some good quality sunglasses and a hat.

There are plenty of islands to choose from for your tropical escape.  Whichever one you opt for, your holiday is almost guaranteed to be stress-free and filled with sunshine, colour, and music.

Before you book any trip, always check for any government travel advisories in effect.  Check that your passport complies with any country requirements regarding amount of validity remaining, number of blank pages required, etc. 

There are a few things to be mindful of, however:  the hurricane season runs from approximately June through November, so it may be wise to avoid visiting during those months.
